Wouter Veldhuis (1971) was appointed as Chief Government Advisor on the Built and Rural Environment on December 1th , 2020. As a member of the Board of Governor Advisors, he advises on spatial programmes and projects of the State involving themes such as mobility and urbanization.

Wouter Veldhuis is an urban planner and architect and partner of MUST Urbanism. With offices in Amsterdam and Cologne Must works on urban transformation, strategies for city and region, cartography and research. Wouter Veldhuis is also a member of Stad-Forum, an independent think tank that advises the municipality of Amsterdam on urban development. From 2012 to 2018, Wouter Veldhuis was head of the Master's degree in Urbanism at the Rotterdam Academy of Architecture.
